Statement from Tug-E-Nuff | August 2023

I’m Danny, one of Tug-E-Nuff’s directors and I want to be completely open and transparent with you about everything that’s unfolded recently.

Tug-E-Nuff is a family run business that was set up in 2009. Our ethos and mission has always been to enrich the relationships between people and dogs through the power of play.

We’re committed to championing animal welfare, positive training methods, and spreading education to help people live their very best lives with dogs.

During the public social media storm which raised deep concerns around breeding practices, animal welfare, and treatment of staff, Tug-E-Nuff were falsely accused of having ties to Lauren Langman and puppy farming.

The truth is, Mathew Rouse (partner of Lauren Langman and my brother), was a founding director back in 2013, but the relationship broke down many years ago.

We have tried on multiple occasions to remove Mathew as a director and shareholder; however, sometimes things that seem easy from the outside become difficult when family dynamics and dependants are involved.

He has been a silent director of Tug-E-Nuff since 2018 and has received no financial gain nor had any active part in the running of the business for over eight years.

Many years ago Tug-E-Nuff acted as a fulfillment warehouse for Absolute Dogs but our relationship with them broke down completely in 2018 and there has been no active affiliation since.

On the 9th August 2023, Mathew Rouse finally resigned from Tug-E-Nuff and has since relinquished all shares for a nominal figure of £1 per share.

We are heartbroken that anyone thinks that Tug-E-Nuff had anything to do with puppy farming and any other alleged questionable activities of these individuals.

Tug-E-Nuff is, has always been, and will remain a conscientious business with ethics at its core and a strong guiding moral compass.

The current directorship reflects how the company has actively been run for almost a decade.

There are many innocent parties who have been affected by this and to them, we extend our heartfelt support and solidarity. We can all only do our best with the information we have at the time.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us as we’ve navigated this horrendously challenging time.

Tug-E-Nuff remains open for business as normal and we hope to continue spreading joy, unrivaled play, and happiness to dogs and their humans.

Danny
