Three Steps To Keeping Your Tug-E-Nuff Toys Irresistible

At Tug-E-Nuff Dog Gear, making motivational and interactive trainings toys that your dog is guaranteed to love is what we do.

But although our toys are designed to provide hours of fun (even if your dog is really enthusiastic about tugging them), they are not indestructible.

Here are our three steps to keeping your Tug-E-Nuff toy looking fresh and staying irresistible…

STEP ONE: Remember, playing tug is a team sport!

One of the things that we keep at the forefront of our minds when we design and create our training aids is that playing tug is the perfect way to bond with your dog, creating a strong and special partnership that takes you forward in your training (and everyday life!).

For that reason, our Tug toys should only be used when you are on hand to play with them, too. Avoid using them when your dog can be left to their own devices.

Examples of this include when your dog is in a room alone at home, when queuing for an agility run (when your attention is on the ring and not your dog) or when you reach the end of a training class and your trainer wants to give you some feedback (we’re experienced dog trainers and we always encourage our students to play with their dog first as their reward – our feedback can wait!).

The most important thing to remember they're fun, motivational and interactive toys, but they are not indestructible!

STEP TWO: Keep your Tug toy looking Fresh!

Hopefully, over time your Tug-E-Nuff Dog Gear training toy will start to look a little used – this is a good thing, it means your dog and you are having a great time together!

However, there are a few things you can do to freshen up your toy from time to time.

We advise rinsing off your toy in a sink of cold water, or, if absolutely necessary, popping it in the washing machine separate from anything else on a cool wash (there is the chance that some of the colours may run, and nobody wants their once-white underwear turning bright orange!)

If your training toy is made from anything furry (sheepskin, rabbit skin or faux fur) you may also want to give them a quick going over with a slicker dog brush to just bring back that luscious volume that your dog loves so much.

STEP THREE: Know about our 45 day Tug It + Love It guarantee

We promise your dog will love their new Tug-E-Nuff Dog Gear toy. If they don’t, you have 45 days to return it and exchange it for something else or get store credit – even if the toy has been used. Simple as that.
